Who we are

Founded and run by veterans, MHVI's mission is to help homeless and at-risk veterans reach and maintain their highest levels of independence. We offer unique programs to fill the gaps and don't duplicate what others do, and cooperate with the Veterans Administration, Wis. Dept. of Veterans Affairs, County Veterans Service Officers, and other non-profit agencies.

Since 2008 we have helped more than 3,000 veterans and their families in southeastern Wisconsin to obtain benefits, housing, health care, furniture, household goods, food, clothing, transporation, toiletries and other necessities.

Listen to Debbie Buchanan's interview on American Heroes Network Radio. She talked with host Gary Ray and co-host Bill Forbes on a show that originally aired on Feb. 20, 2018. This comprehensive discussion is a great introduction to MHVI, its director and the veterans served.
